Justice League: Ray Fisher Compares His Cyborg To The Teen Titans Version; Confirms He Will Still Use The ‘Boo Yah!’ Catchphrase From The Show

The Teen Titans were generally unknown to audiences until Cartoon Network came up with the smash cartoon series, and Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg in the upcoming Justice League compares his performance as Victor Stone to Cyborg in the cartoon.

During an appearance at Asia Pop Comic-Con (via ComicBook), Fisher explains:

"I was a huge fan of that Cyborg growing up as a kid because that was when the original cartoon show was on, and Khary Payton is a master at what he does."

[Cyborg is] a very real and grounded character and that's something I found very interesting to bring to the table. I love the cartoon, but this is a different Cyborg, for a new era."

What's cool is, Fisher also confirms that Cyborg will still have his signature catch phrase, "boo yah!" from the show; hopefully this means we'll be seeing the Teen Titans form up in the DCEU one day. We already know that Batman used to operate with a Robin, who's to say that the first Robin didn't grow up and make his own super-team?

As of now, Cyborg is working with the grown-ups and is working with the Justice League. He's still set to star in his own spinoff sometime in 2020, and hopefully we'll get to see Teen Titans like Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire in that film.

Justice League is set to come out Nov. 17.
