Justice League Might Get Beaten By Coco At The Thanksgiving Weekend Box Office

There might have been a lot of hope for Justice League after Wonder Woman's overwhelming success, however, Warner Brother's newest installment in the DC Extended Universe hasn't been doing so well in the domestic box office, coming up short of the expected $110 to $120 million in earnings.

While the film is keeping its numbers afloat with its earnings at the international box office, analysts predict that Disney's animated film Coco cold very well push past Justice League at this year's Thanksgiving Weekend Box Office.

According to Deadline, there's a very strong possibility that Disney and Pixar's upcoming 3D computer-animated musical fantasy movie is going to beat Justice League when it opens this weekend especially since there are very few other film openings during Thanksgiving.

Not only is Coco 94% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, but the film is also eyeing a $55 million to $60 million when it releases in theaters in the U.S. While the film is hardly a big-budget comic book movie, industry estimates indicate that Coco just might beat out Justice League with the film set at a 56% drop from its first week in cinemas.

While the DCEU installment is enjoying positive reviews from audiences, it seems like poor critic reviews have affected the film's numbers. Hopefully, things still turn out well for Warner Bros. burgeoning superhero franchise.

Justice League is currently screening in cinemas.
