Justice League Is Now China’s Highest Grossing DC Movie

Justice League wasn't the success that Warner Brothers was hoping that it would be, however, it seems like DC Extended Universe's newest installment is doing wonders in China.

As pointed out by Comicbook,Justice League has just become the highest-grossing DC film to ever release in the Eastern Asian nation. Checking the results on Box Office Mojo, the film's estimated gross of $98.6 million has moved way past Wonder Woman's $90.5 million gross and edging over the $95.7 million total that Batman v Superman grossed in three weeks time.Man of Steel earned a poor $63.4 million in the country during its theatrical run in 2013, and Suicide Squad had to sit it out in China because it wasn't allowed in the country.

Justice League might not be doing so well domestically, however, it really seems like the international market has taken a liking to the movie, contributing to Warner Brother's passing its $5 billion mark at the global box office. Not only has the film been doing well in China, it's also been doing great in Brazil, setting an opening day record for the country's box office with a total weekend gross of $14.2 million.

Guess everyone has their own cup of tea, and while critics have been generally bashing the film to no end, fans have been enjoying the superhero team-up movie.

Justice League is currently screening in cinemas.
