He could have gone as The Flash or a Harry Potter character but Fantastic Beasts star Ezra Miller decided to go in a completely different direction for SDCC 2018. Rather than represent one of the big Warner Bros. franchises he's working on, Miller decided to cosplay as a sexy toadette. For those unfamiliar, toadettes are female versions of toads in the Super Mario games.

Just to be clear, toad and toadette look like chibi humans with mushrooms on their heads. They do not look like the amphibian creatures one of them is named after.

Fans of the actor are well-documented on Miller's cosplay excellency for SDCC. He was previously Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist and Lord of the Rings mainstay Gandalf the Grey. This sexy toadette cosplay may have topped his previous efforts and it has been praised by several fans.

Miller is openly queer and has discussed his struggles about this before. This is why franchises like Harry Potter helped him out when he was younger, given how it focuses on an abused child who overcomes his weaknesses to become a wizard. It's easy to see how this helped him early on and his newfound cosplay confidence is stunning, to say the least.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes out Nov. 16.
