Jurassic World 2 Begins Production

Jurassic World 2 is finally gearing up for production.

Director J.A. Bayona and the rest of the Jurassic World 2 production team have finally begun work on the Jurassic World sequel to make sure that the film lands somewhere close to its expected release date. The film's producer Frank Marshall signaled the beginning of the film's production with a photo shared on Twitter.

The new reveal from Marshall doesn't offer up much in terms of the plot of Jurassic World 2, however according to a report by Cosmic Book News, Colin Trevorrow has indicated that the untitled Jurassic World sequel would be much scarier.

"It will be more suspenseful and scary. It's just the way it's designed; it's the way the story plays out. I knew I wanted Bayona to direct it long before anyone ever heard that was a possibility, so the whole thing was just built around his skill set," the original Jurassic World director revealed in an older interview.

Slated for release on June 22, 2018, Jurassic World 2 will see the return of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. While Trevorrow is back writing the script for the film together with Derek Connolly, the directorial reigns have been given to Bayona.
