Josh Trank's Fantastic Four Reboot Rated Lower Than The 2005 Movie On Rotten Tomatoes

If you thought Tim Story's ridiculous Fantastic Four film from 2005 was a joke, you'd probably be more thankful of that if you've seen Josh Trank's reboot this year.

As more critics fire negative reviews at Trank's Fantastic Four, its Rotten Tomatoes score has officially sunk below the 2005 film's score. While Story's version sits at a dreadful 25% Rotten score, this year's reboot is now at 9%!

While the review aggregator site's official consensus for the 2005 Fantastic Four reads, "Marred by goofy attempts at wit, subpar acting, and bland storytelling, Fantastic Four is a mediocre attempt to bring Marvel's oldest hero team to the big screen," its consensus for the reboot sounds more depressing: "Dull and downbeat, this Fantastic Four proves a woefully misguided attempt to translate a classic comic series without the humor, joy, or colorful thrills that made it great."

Earlier this week, Kinberg defended Trank's film, but apparently that was biased as the film turns out to be what we expected it to be: garbage. Click here to read our review of Fantastic Four.
