The casting details for Batman/Bruce Wayne role in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have been kept under wraps, but we do know the two serious contenders for the role: Ben Affleck and Josh Brolin. Although a report claimed that Affleck did so well as Batman that the studio asked to add more screentime for him, I think fans would have been more thrilled to see Brolin play the role.

During an interview with MTV, Brolin confirmed that he was a contender for the role a couple of years ago and shared his emotions on losing the chance to play the Dark Knight. He sounds pissed off, and he says that fans could be pissed off as much as they want:

"I don't have that thing, I wish I did. It would just be more interesting and more competitive, damn him. As much as you guys want to be pissed off, be pissed off, it's all good. Start a f–king riot. I'm really curious [to see] what he does. Beyond curious."

Yeah, like other fans, I was kind of pissed off when the casting news was announced, but I'm glad that Brolin is playing the badass Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I can't wait to see his character in action in the Avengers: Infinity War movies. Nevertheless, I think Batman v Superman will be a spectacular film. You can watch the trailer here.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in theaters on March 25, 2016
