Josh Brolin: Deadpool 2 Is Funnier Than The First Movie

The D23 Expo had a lot of juicy reveals for Marvel and Star Wars, and Thanos actor Josh Brolin was put under the spotlight. Brolin is also playing the mutant Cable in the upcoming Deadpool 2, and Good Morning America has caught up with him to talk about the movie.

Brolin explains that he thinks the script is actually pretty funny, and says that it may even surpass that of the first Deadpool. He says:

"It's not that I don't break the fourth wall. There's a lot of stuff going on in Deadpool that's very surprising and that will be very satisfying when you see it. To me it's even funnier than the first one … I read it and I laughed harder than I've laughed in a very long time, so it's funny."

A lot of people are very curious about how this Deadpool movie will turn out. Pre-production actually started out pretty rocky with the departure of director Tim Miller and composer Junkie XL, but as of now, things look like smooth sailing with new helmer, David Leitch.

The story of Deadpool 2 is still a mystery to fans. The only things we do know, aside from the appearance of Cable, is that X-Force member Domino will be introduced (played by Zazie Beetz), and there will also be the return of X-Men Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Also expect Weasel, Vanessa, and Blind Al to make an appearance.

Deadpool 2 comes out June 1, 2018.
