Jon Favreau Confirms Return for Avengers 4

Though Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan is a common staple in Iron Man films, we still got to see him in Spider-Man: Homecoming. A lot of people are expecting him to reappear in Infinity War, but Favreau reveals that he will be skipping out the third Avengers film to appear in the fourth.

Talking during the Youtube livestream of Infinity War's red carpet premiere (via ScreenRant), Favreau explained:

"I'm not in this movie. Spoiler alert, but I'm an executive producer. And I'm in…I think I can say I'm in the next movie, Avengers 4. Is that fair to say,"

Being the man behind the first Iron Man film, we have Favreau to thank for kickstarting the billion-dollar franchise that is the MCU. Though I would like to see more of him behind the camera, his Happy Hogan character is still fun to watch—in a sense that he's made fun of by Tony and can end up being petty when it comes to Peter Parker.

There have been heavy hints that Infinity War will see the death of a main character, and a lot of people are convinced that it will be Tony Stark's fiancé Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). We still don't know it for sure, but a death by Pepper probably merits an appearance from another Iron Man mainstay, Happy Hogan.

Avengers: Infinity War comes out April 27.
