John Powell Begins Scoring Solo: A Star Wars Story

Adding music is usually the last step to making any motion picture, and with the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story right around the corner, John Powell has begun working on the score for the film. Check him out:

It's worth noting that Powell will not be alone when it comes to composing the score for Solo. Legendary composer John Williams has also said that he will be providing the main theme for Solo, but it will be ultimately up to Powell how he'll utilize it for the film.

With the likes of Michael Giacchino providing the score for Rogue One, I'm curious what Powell's soundtrack for the movie will sound like. If you're unfamiliar with Powell's work, you can hear his work usually in Dreamworks animated movies like Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon. He's also done music for films like Hancock, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Pan.

After the debacle of directors last year, everyone is crossing their fingers that Solo: A Star Wars Story will turn out fine. With the steady stream of Star Wars movies coming out to get one, we're bound to get a bad film eventually, but hopefully Ron Howard won't disappoint with this movie.

Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out May 25.
