John Boyega Wants Longer Fight Scene For Finn in Star Wars: Episode IX

When trailers for Star Wars: The Last Jedi came out, fans were excited to see John Boyega's Finn take on Gwendoline Christie's Captain Phasma, with many hoping it would redeem the latter after she was literally treated like garbage in The Force Awakens. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and Phasma is now just as bad as Boba Fett, with many disappointed at how brief the fight was.

Turns out Boyega feels the same way, as the Pacific Rim actor expressed disappointment on the fight and how quick it was.

Speaking with IGN, Boyega discussed how shocked he was when the fight ended quicker than he expected. He feels that the battle should have been more climactic but it ended up being the opposite of that. Boyega is hoping that Finn can get a longer battle in the next Star Wars film and pretty much every fan of the franchise can agree with that sentiment.

"Yeah, man, I didn't expect it to be that quick if I'm being honest with you. I was like, wait, wait, what? He's been like ramped up for a big fight and then it was over in a second."

Prior to the release of The Last Jedi, Boyega was pumped for the fight with Captain Phasma. The actor called it epic and hyped it up quite a bit, so it's disappointing to see it finished so quickly.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi's digital release hits March 13 while its Blu-Ray and DVD release comes out on March 27.
