Now that many of us have seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens multiple times and made a lot of speculations about the mysteries it left unanswered, we're excited to see how Rian Johnson's Episode VIII, which will be released on May 2017. Although not much has been revealed about the film, we do know that J.J. Abrams regrets turning down the chance to direct it because he thought the script was so good.
Now, in a recent interview with Vogue, John Boyega, who plays the rogue Stormtrooper Finn, teased what to expect in the highly-anticipated sequel. He said that the film will be darker than The Force Awakens:
"[The script is] great. Much darker, but we're very excited."
When asked if he was required to train extensively for the role, he said:
"No, for this film we really just took it scene by scene, there wasn't a huge regime. My part in the next film will be much more physical so I might be in the gym a bit more."
Star Wars: Episode VIII will be released in theaters on May 26, 2017.
