John Boyega Says Episode VIII Will Show The Direction Of The Finn And Poe Pairing

Lucasfilm might not give Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaacs) time to be with each other in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, however, Boyega promises that the movie will give some definite direction as to where the whole FinnxPoe arc is heading in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

The studio just recently held a press junket for The Force Awakens sequel, and Mashable asked the British star about whether or not The Last Jedi would do something to help establish what could potentially be the franchise's very first openly gay couple on the big screen.

Trying his best not to give away major spoilers, Boyega said that fans will know what kind of direction the studio has in mind for the two when they actually watch the movie.

"I've watched the film and I will confirm, that will be confirmed in The Last Jedi — you will know exactly which way it's going. Seriously, you'll know, by the time you watch it, you'll know."

This is definitely good news for fans who've been hoping for some definite sign of a Finn and Poe pairing. The Last Jedi is sending Poe and Finn on two separate missions, so many expected the film to put a hold on the potential couple's arc.

Let's wait and see what happens when Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres this Friday, December 15, 2017.
