John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) has posted a brand new set photo from his accompanying film Pacific Rim: Uprising on Instagram. He posted a very dark and moody set photo a few days ago, but this one is even darker and moodier. You can see it below:
Boyega labels his photo 'Pentecost'. He will be playing the son of Stacker Pentecost, a marshall in the defense force. Pentecost was played by Idris Elba in the first Pacific Rim movie, which was released in 2013. Boyega will be continuing his legacy in Uprising.
The picture doesn't give much away, but Boyega looks pretty surprised as he peers out a round opening. Is it an introspective moment or is he hiding from something? He could also potentially be spying on something big.
Pacific Rim was directed by Guillermo del Toro. Pacific Rim: Uprising will be directed by Stephen S. DeKnight (Daredevil). Scott Eastwood (The Fate of the Furious) will be co-starring.
Pacific Rim: Uprising is expected to come out February 23, 2018.
