J.K. Rowling Reveals Her Second Favorite Character in The Harry Potter Franchise

The final Harry Potter book was released in 2007, and since then, J.K. Rowling has revealed new infromation about the wizarding world and its characters via her Pottermore website and her Twitter page. This year, we're getting a new Harry Potter book and the spinoff film Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (watch the first trailer here). Now, she's revealed that Albus Dumbledore is her favorite character - other than Harry, of course.

The author revealed the answer on Twitter when a fan asked, "Besides Harry, who is your favorite character in the series?" At that time, she was tweeting about Dumbledore's relationship with Fantastic Beast's protagonist, Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne in the movie).

Synopsis:
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them will hit theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.
