Last month, it was reported that Jessica Chastain was in talks to be a part of X-Men: The Dark Phoenix. The rumor claimed that she was up to play the villain of Shi'ar Empress Lilandra. Right now, Chastain herself confirmed that she will be in Dark Pheonix but we still don't know which character she'll play.

Jessica Chastain took it to Instagram to share an image of herself with Professor X actor James McAvoy, saying that she'll be in Montral to shoot with him in X-Men: The Dark Phoenix. Since she used a devil emoji and expressed her desire to "make him cry so hard", fans can assume that she will play Lilandra in the film.

Lilandra married Professor X at one point so Chastain's photo could be teasing their characters' relationship in the film. I think Chastain would be great as Lilandra.

Directed and written by Simon Kinberg, the film also stars Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Even Peters, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

X-Men: The Dark Phoenix is set to release in theaters on November 2, 2018.
