Jeremy Renner Aims to Confuse Fans With His Hawkeye Disney+ Comments

Fans are currently going gaga over the fact that a Hawkeye series might be coming to the Disney+ service. The fact that it comes from a website like Variety makes it more legitimate than most reports since the people who work there have gained many people's trust over time. As we wait for an official announcement, Jeremy Renner was unsurprisingly asked about the show and he, as per usual, gave a vaguely playful answer.

During an episode of Jimmy Kimmel (via ComicBook.com), the talk show host asked Renner about the news. Here's how their exchange went:

Kimmel: Variety reported that you were going to be doing aHawkeyetelevision series on Disney+.
Renner: Well, that's — look at their name. They have a variety of stories. They have lots of different things to say.
Kimmel: They do, but they aren't a tabloid. They're usually pretty right-on on things.
Renner: Yeah, they are.
Kimmel: They are? They are right on?
Renner: They could be — with their stories, the variety of stories that they have. I don't know anything about this.

If you were hoping for more, you don't understand how Hollywood works. Still, it's nice seeing the actor be more playful since his character will be an emotional mess during Avengers: Endgame. If the series is any indication, it looks like he is going to live and pass on his mantle to Kate Bishop, who will likely form the Young Avengers.

Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26.
