Jennifer Lawrence on Returning For More X-Men Films

Warning: This article contains spoilers onX-Men: Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse didn't end well for all the mutants. Not everyone survives by the end of the film, and with Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Nicholas Hoult's contracts expiring in this movie, it begs the question whether fans will still see their characters in the next generation of X-Men films.

Well, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence just gave the perfect answer to that question. While she didn't exactly answer whether she'll reprise her role, she is adamant that the studio will take them back.

In her interview, Lawrence candidly said:

Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking.
Like, ‘Will you come back?' ‘I dunno.' ‘I'll come back, if you come back.' Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn't come back, none of us are.

It's worth noting that the actress has been vocal about her dislike for the blue paint that her character, Mystique, needs for the movie. However, 20th Century Fox can't really take that as her only word for wanting to appear in future X-Men films. The 25-year-old actress is currently one of the most sought-out actresses in Hollywood, and her appearance would undoubtedly attract viewers, thereby allowing more ticket sales.

She also did say in another interview how she's "dying to come back."

During the EW interview, she added:

I would love to come back. I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don't know. I shouldn't be that honest.

We won't know whether the Lawrence's Mystique, Fassbender's Magneto, McAvoy's Professor X, and Hoult's Beast will be back again in the franchise until the next X-Men film.

Meanwhile, you can see them in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is now in theaters.
