With all this news of Ben Affleck playing/not playing Batman, there's one actor that everyone wants to see in the Flashpoint movie, Jeffrey Dean Morgan. People want him to reprise his role as Thomas Wayne from Batman v Superman, and Morgan is on board for being cast as well.

During an appearance at the Walker Stakler Con in New Jersey (via ComicBookMovie), Morgan was asked if he wanted to work on anything outside of The Walking Dead, to which he replied:

"There's a role in the DC Universe I've got my eye on."

This, of course, is alluding to the role of Thomas Wayne's Batman, who he has expressed interest in playing before. In the FlashpointParadox timeline, it was little Bruce Wayne who died in Crime Alley, leading to his father Thomas Wayne to become Batman, and his mother Martha (MARTHA!) to go crazy and become the Joker.

If we will get a faithful adaptation of Flashpoint, that means we'll be seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan wear the cowl. With such a rich new lore to that timeline, I'm curious how many elements they can fit in there. Will we get the Amazon/Atlantean war? Will we get government prisoner Superman?

We still have no release date for Flashpoint, but hopefully we get some solid news by the end of the year. Hopefully they want Morgan back on board.
