The land of cute innovations has done it again. Japan is bringing to consumers their own version of the Harry Potter cast. Introducing the Harry Potter chibis.

The Harry Potter merchandise has officially been licensed by Warner Bros., the first time the production company allowed anyone to create completely deformed versions of its movie characters. This just goes to show how incredibly adorable the recreations are.

First to go on sale are 12 plastic files showing the anime versions of the HP cast at the front and the Hogwarts' house seals at the back, according to Rocket News 24.

Check out the first merchandise below.

Each file is worth 378 yen, which is US$3.15 when converted. This first collection is sold exclusively in Japan's specialty stores, so you might spend a little extra for the shipping.

If you think that's already enough cuteness for you, you'd be surprised to know that they're planning on expanding to sell rubber stamps, pins, and acrylic keychains with the same characters this spring for 300 up to 700 yen. If the demand is high, they'll be creating more anime HP character merchandise soon.

It would be cool to see more members of the HP family joining the merchandise and having their own chibi versions made. I wouldn't mind seeing an anime Voldemort or even an anime Bellatrix Lestrange.
