The Guardians of the Galaxy featured a lot of unique characters that are just entertaining and funny to watch, and David Bautista's Drax the Destroyer was fantastic at adding humor to the story. Based on what we've seen in the first trailer, it looks like Drax will bring more laughter in the film. Director James Gunn even said that Drax has been blowing people's minds in the sequel.
Gunn took it to Facebook to greet Bautista Happy Birthday, and the director took the opportunity to let fans know how much they're going to love Draw in the sequel, saying:
"He's been blowing people's minds in our early screenings of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 - exponentially increasing the raw emotion and humor he displayed in the first movie."
Everything I've heard about this film so far is making me super excited, and it's good to hear from the director himself that Drax is raising the ante up in Vol. 2. Now I'm wondering where those early screenings are taking place.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to release in theaters on May 5, 2017.
