James Gunn Already Has 181 Songs Listed For Potential GOTG Vol. 3 Soundtrack

Music has always been a big part of the Guardians of the Galaxy film franchise and now that Marvel is working on pre-production for the third installment in the successful cosmic superhero space romp film series, it looks like director James Gunn has started to list down the songs he wants featured in the film.

Replying to a fan who asked the director about the status of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's soundtrack on Twitter, Gunn revealed that he had started working on his list for the movie and that he's whittled it down to 181 songs.

With so many classic 70's and 80's music to choose from, we're pretty sure that Gunn has a long way to go especially when he says "that list could get longer." With most movie soundtracks going from 10 to 20 tracks, the director certainly has a lot of decision-making to do, making sure that each song fits the tone he wants to go for in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy installment. Gunn always gets it right though, hitting the right spots in the original Guardians of the Galaxy and its sequel.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 doesn't have a release date just yet, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's DVD and Blu-ray release is estimated to come around August 2017.
