It Remake Already Has Sequel Plans

Stephen King is the master of horror to this day. And even the remake of his infamous It movie featuring the never-adorable Pennywise the Clown will still bring the chills.

It may even be felt more for the It remake from Andres Muschietti, especially now that the movie is confirmed to have an R-rating. Speaking to Collider, producer Dan Lin confirmed this rating, and probably confirming our worst nightmares in the process.

"It is a rated-R movie. if you're going to make a ‘Rated-R movie,' you have to fully embrace what it is, and you have to embrace the source material. It is a scary clown that's trying to kill kids. So of course that's going to be a rated-R movie."

Lin does offer some praise to the kid actors who shoulder a big part of the film. He compares the vibe in the remake to that of Stand by Me when it comes to the kind of camaraderie that the cast exude.

Perhaps this will make the feeling of dread even more palpable—all these kids who are able to be carefree with each other, while a scary, murderous clown runs rampant in that little town of Derry.

If that's not enough, the creators are arleady planning the sequel, which will revolve around Pennywise's terror around adults.

It will hit theaters on Sept. 8. It will star Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise, while the Losers' Club will include Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard, Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Chosen Jacons, and Wyatt Oleff.
