Is Michael Peña Returning For Ant-Man And The Wasp?

Despite the departure of Edgar Wright, Marvel's Ant-Man still managed to be quite entertaining, and Michael Peña was probably one of the most memorable characters in the film. The sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, is set to come out in 2018, so should we expect Peña to make a return? Apparently, even he doesn't know.

In an interview with Collider, Peña revealed that he was signed up for two more movies in the MCU, but so far, he hasn't been called yet. He said:

"No, no, I haven't gotten the phone call yet…I don't know if I'm gonna get the phone call. Who knows? I don't think they have to call you at all. They could just say that he's free to go and he can do any movie that he wants at this period of time. I don't really know what's going on with that. There's always possibilities that you're not going to be in that movie. You just prepare yourself for that."

I would actually love to see Peña return for his role as Luis. He had such great chemistry with Paul Rudd, and his fast-talking, ridiculously optimistic thief is a fine addition to the MCU. Better yet, why not have the rest of Ant-Man's heist team return for the sequel? The more the merrier!

Ant-Man and the Wasp is slated for a release on July 6, 2018, and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Michael Douglas.
