The sonic screwdriver from Doctor Who is one of the most iconic items in science fiction ever, but can we actually make it in real life? 

In the new episode of Beause Science that The Nerdist released, host Kyle Hill explains the science behind the Doctor's sonic screwdriver, and whether or not it could be created in our world. He explains the acoustic levitation and roatational momentum as the primary forces needed to make it function. The most interesting bit is when Kyle  talked about Bruce Drinkwater's "accoustic vortex" video.
