Iron Fist Star Finn Jones Comments On Negative Reviews

Iron Fist is the last hero to join the Netflix roster of Marvel heroes, and sadly, it's been receiving a ton of negative reviews from critics who've watched the first six episodes. Finn Jones, who plays central hero Danny Rand, has commented on the negativity of the reviews, and still believes that the show is pretty good.

In an interview with Metro, Jones says:

"Well I think there's multiple factors. What I will say is these shows are not made for critics, they are first and foremost made for the fans. I also think some of the reviews we saw were seeing the show through a very specific lens, and I think when the fans of the Marvel Netflix world and fans of the comic books view the show through the lens of just wanting to enjoy a superhero show, then they will really enjoy what they see. I think it's a fantastic show which is really fun and I think it stands up there with the other Defenders' shows without a doubt."

Granted critics have only seen the first six episodes of Iron Fist, so to say that the series is actually terrible is like watching half of the movie, and then writing the review. There's a good chance that the next seven episodes will be able to redeem the series, but fans should still take note that series should be fun throughout the entire run — and holding out till the last episode to get interesting could be frustrating for some members of the audience.

Quite honestly, I'm still all up for watching Iron Fist. Watching something solely based on what critics say could make you miss out on things that you would genuinely enjoy. Critics bashed Guy Ritchie's Man From UNCLE, and I thought that movie was fun as hell. Don't let them stop you from possibly enjoying Iron Fist. Go see if it's bad for yourself.

Iron Fist airs on Netflix on March 17.
