Iron Fist: Danny Rand Won't Wear His Signature Costume Just Yet

Daredevil is probably the only Netflix Marvel hero to don his classic costume, with Jessica Jones and Luke Cage doing their superheroics in casual wear. The next hero in the lineup is Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist (Finn Jones), and according to Scott Buck, he won't be seen wearing his classic green-and-yellow costume either.

In an interview with SFX Magazine (via Games Radar), Buck said:

"There was no good reason we could imagine to put Danny Rand in a costume. Because Danny Rand is still discovering who he is as a hero and where he is going to be, so he's not yet ready to put on a mask or a costume."

He then goes on to explain that not having a costume will prove as a certain risk for Danny, saying:

"[A]t the same time he is someone who is rather well known as a billionaire, so he can't necessarily go out in public and do the things he does without being recognized. It does become an issue for the character."

So will we get a costume or not? The first season of Daredevil didn't even have Matt wearing his classic red duds until the final episode, so can we expect the same thing from Iron Fist? If we aren't getting the classic comic costume, I still hope that there's a nod to it like in Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

Iron Fist premieres in Netflix on March 17.
