Insomniac's Upcoming Spider-Man Game is NEVER Coming to Xbox One

One of the most anticipated games of the year is Insomniac's Spider-Man for the PS4, and some people are wondering when the game could be available for different platforms like the Xbox One. As it turns out, Insomniac has no plans to ever make the game multiplatform and shuts down any hopes for fans who want to play Spider-Man on something other than a PS4.

When asked by a curious fan on Twitter, the official Insomniac Games Twitter account simply answered:

Considering that Insomniac has made an Xbox One exclusive with Sunset Overdrive, some people think it's only fair that they would make an exclusive for the Playstation. What's more, Sony, Playstation's parent company, does own the movie rights for the Spider-Man franchise. Talk about brand synergy.

Just recently, it's been confirmed that the upcoming Spider-Man game will come with no microtransactions—a relief considering the disastrous release of Star Wars Battlefront II last year. There will be DLC for the game though, but hopefully the base game has enough content to make for hours of gameplay sans the expansions.

Spider-Man won't be coming to the Xbox One, but PS4 players can expect it to release Sept. 7.
