Insomniac’s Spider-Man PS4 Game Won't be Short

Insomniac Games' Spider-Man PS4 game has been making some progress lately, with a recent update from the studio showing that it's already being tested. This is fairly good news since that means the game is playable, though it's still far from perfect due to the fact that numerous tests are needed. We did learn one thing though; it won't be a short game and might take multiple days to finish.

Brian Horton, the game's Director, went to Twitter to discuss how he has played the game three times. He quickly states that each playthrough has taken multiple days, so he is in for a long night. Needless to say, the game is a lengthy one and should be worth the $59.99 it will cost.

Considering how the game is open-world, one has to assume that it will be filled with side quests and challenges for the web-slinger to take on. This should be in addition to the main story, which will hopefully be lengthy in its own right. Hopefully, there are unlockables that can be obtained when completing these extra missions or challenges.

Due to Insomniac's resume, a lot of people are really looking forward to this game. The addition of a playable Mary Jane Watson and an important role for Miles Morales should make things a bit more interesting as well. Hopefully, the game is a good one and sets a good precedent for future Marvel games.

Spider-Man PS4 is slated for release this year.
