Insomniac Gives Update on Spider-Man PS4

Insomniac's Spider-Man PS4 game, known as Marvel's Spider-Man, is a PS4 exclusive many a fan has been looking forward to. Whether it's fans of the comics or gamers that remember the glory days of Spider-Man 2, there is plenty of anticipation for the PS4 exclusive. Though a proper release date still hasn't been announced, Insomniac Games has given fans an interesting update regarding the game.

The company's official Twitter account announced that the Spider-Man game was going through its second day of studio-wide testing. No gameplay is shown but we do get a sneak peek at the game's dashboard logo, which looks fine. Given how Spidey's new suit has been a focal part of the game, it's no surprise seeing the new emblem on the dashboard. Plus, it looks better than his Worldwide costume from Dan Slott's run.

Currently, there are a couple of interesting things to know about the game. Mary Jane, Peter's long-time love interest, will be playable for the first time ever. Brand New Day villain Mr. Negative looks to be the main antagonist of the title, making it feel fresh compared to other Spider-Man games. Lastly, Miles Morales will play a big role, though we aren't sure how big.

Spider-Man PS4 is slated for a 2018 release.
