Injustice 2 May Feature Red Hood—You Decide Which One

Injustice 2 has been making waves since developer NetherRealm Studios revealed a trailer featuring Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Superman, Batman and Aquaman decked in various accessories to power-up their characters.

And now, NetherRealm Studios creative head Ed Boon has started teasing a new character in the game. Over his official Twitter, Boon had asked fans which particular Red Hood they would want in the game.

The poll pits Joker vs. Jason Todd, but Boon also had one particular tweet that emphasized Joker for the role. So far, over 15,600 votes have already been cast.

I'm excited for Injustice 2, because it seems to be building on NetherRealm's previous titles, including Mortal Kombat X. More importantly, Boon has already confirmed that there will also be an Injustice 2 mobile tie-in, as was the case for the original game, Injustice Gods Among Us.

What the studio has not yet confirmed is whether or not it will create a new mobile game or extend the current one to involve features in the upcoming console title. Boon had also polled this to fans on Twitter, asking them whether they prefer a new mobile game or an extension of the old one.

I personally prefer a new game so it can incorporate what new mechanics the developer has for Injustice 2. But as Twitter fans have pointed out, there should be a way to transfer saved data from the first game, so that all our efforts won't go to waste. I've already got Deadshot in the latest challenge, after all.

Injustice 2 will be out sometime in 2017.
