The Flash may not have been the most heroic of heroes back in Injustice: Gods Among Us, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't level it up to make a comeback in Injustice 2—remember this dilemma:
"Once known as the fastest man alive, Barry Allen has hung up his boots in public shame after defecting from the Regime. However, as a new enemy threatens the innocent, the Flash returns to action, determined to redeem himself."
NetherRealm Studios has finally released a new gameplay sneak peek of what The Flash can do this time around.
His entrance alone is interesting, almost like warping from a time vortex. It's also good to see that his humor isn't lost with that little exchange with Gorilla Grodd.
And his attacks are pretty interesting. He executes a lot of fast attacks from all directions, almost like teleportation similar to Damian Wayne's previously revealed ability. He also shows off the whirlwind arms and tornado attack. There's one where he delivers a very quick succession of blows to Grodd's body, all of which take effect a second later similar to an after image.
His finishing blow is insane though. Who else could take the enemy back to the time of the dinosaurs and back before body slamming the enemy with his past (or is it future) self? Only The Flash.
Injustice 2 will be released on the PS4 and Xbox One on May 16.
