Injustice 2: Hellboy Gameplay Video Released

Warner Bros and Netherrealm Studios have finally released the first Injustice 2 gameplay trailer for Hellboy. Ever since he was revealed for Fighter Pack 2, fans have been wanting to see how he would play and now we know. Despite having a few long-range attacks, it looks like Hellboy is a grappler who focuses on close-combat and he should be really fun to play as.

One of the things fans will instantly notice about Hellboy is his distinct character model. Unlike the rest of the realistic-looking roster, Hellboy looks like he came out of Mike Mignola's comics, and he looks awesome because of that. From his pupil-less eyes to the small legs, it's clear that a lot of love was put into this guest character.

Gameplay-wise, he has a bunch of cool attacks. The BPRD member uses his enormous arm, called the "Right Hand of Doom," for some damaging attacks. His signature ability also lets him turn into his devil form, which has long horns and lets him take attacks without being juggled for a while.

The only disappointing thing about Hellboy is his finisher, which is cool in theory but a bit dull in execution. Hellboy literally pounds his foe to Hell and hits them with an ax. While not terrible, it could have been flashier and less generic. In a way, this makes him the opposite of Raiden, who had a terrible character model and an amazing finisher.

Hellboy will be available to Ultimate Edition players on November 14. Everyone else will get the character on November 21. Injustice 2 is available now on PS4 and Xbox One, with the PC port coming out sometime this Fall.
