Inhumans Showrunner Hoping For Two More Seasons

The fate of Marvel's Inhumans is an unknown one. Before the show even premiered this Friday, it was lambasted for having terrible trailers by fans, while critics tore into the two episode IMAX premiere. Rumors have also stated that the show could only have one season, given all of the negative press it has gotten.

Despite all of this, showrunner Scott Buck is hoping that the show gets two more seasons.

Buck told Collider that the production crew has a plan that spans for three seasons. He went as far to say that the end of the first season leaves some more story possibilities open. While he isn't sure if a second season is in the works, he is really hoping another one pushes through.

We have ideas. We know our starting point for Season 2, but we don't know if there will be a Season 2. Hopefully, there will be a Season 2. If so, we know where we're gonna start, and we'll very gratefully gear up and get to work.

Marvel's Inhumans has an eight-episode season and they will have to impress audiences, which won't be easy given all of the negative reception. Things could pick up at the halfway mark, like the first season of Agents of SHIELD did with its Hydra angle, but nothing is set in stone just yet. Then again, if Marvel can persuade ABC to keep Agents of SHIELDfor a fifth season, the same thing could happen for Inhumans.
