Infinity War Director Says Fans Should Prepare Themselves For Heartbreak In Avengers 4

The Avengers might suffer losses fighting against Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War but it seems like the Earth's Mightiest Heroes are going to have to "pay the price" to defeat the Mad Titan in Avengers 4.

Though there's very little information about Avengers 4, co-director told Metro at the Infinity War Fan Event in London that fans should start preparing themselves for "heartbreak" after Infinity War.

"This is it," the filmmaker explained. "Thanos is an unstoppable villain he's virtually invincible, he's highly intelligent – genius level intelligent – he's like the Genghis Khan of the universe, and to stop him it's going to cost them a lot. They're going to have to see if they're willing to pay that price, and that's what these movies are really about."

Though fans have already been expecting character death in Infinity War and Avengers 4, there's still no knowing how much devastation Thanos will bring with him and how many lives will be lost in the fight for the fate of the universe.

However, based on Joe's comments it looks like Avengers 4 is going to bring some heavy changes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Guess we better start getting ready.

Here's the synopsis for Avengers: Infinity War:

Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet -- the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres April 27.
