The recent release of the Crysis Remastered Trilogy has been warmly received. A much-loved series of games, revolutionary at the time, optimized to look more beautiful than ever. But while the game looks great, and plays well, it isn't without a few little problems. We'll look at some of the most prevalent, and let you know what options are available to fix them.

Error code 0x8b50033 seems to be specific to Xbox players. The error appears when players are trying to play the first Crysis game, and tells the player that an update is required. The suggested fix is to uninstall the game. Then insert the game disc into the console, and try to download the digital version instead. Having the disc in the console is said to allow you to do this.

Crysis 2 Memory Leak

A fault has been identified in Crysis 2, where a memory leak could occur when Ray Tracing is enabled. This then leads to performance issues for players if they play for an extended period. To fix this, the developers have released a hotfix. So make sure that you check for any pending updates on your game.

DLSS And UWQHD Issue

Some players are experiencing problems with clipping and textures being replaced by nothing, when playing with DLSS enabled, or using an ultra-wide monitor. At the moment, there doesn't appear to be a fix for these particular issues. Make sure to install any updates when they become available. And you can also contact them via Twitter @Crysis, or their website. If enough people draw their attention to this, the chances are it will be fixed faster.

Stuttering, Freezing, FPS Drops in Crysis 3

This is a problem that is particularly prevalent in Crysis 3 Remastered. The problem is yet to be officially dealt with by the developers, but players have suggested a link with the V-Sync settings on your computer. One workaround that has been suggested is to make sure you don't have an active external frame limiter, and to set Global V-sync to off. Another suggested fix is to set the Object Detail to Medium. We don't know for certain at this point how effective these solutions are. But if you are experiencing stuttering that makes the game difficult to play, then these may be worth trying.

Quick Resume Issue on Crysis 2

Last, but not least, is an issue players have been experiencing on consoles when using the Quick Resume feature. What seems to be happening is that regardless of your difficulty setting, the game thinks you are playing on Recruit difficulty. It doesn't make the game easier though. And to compound this, it won't then register that you have completed the level at a higher difficulty setting. Some players are reporting that something similar is happening if you select Resume Campaign from the main menu. It's created a lot of angry Supersoldiers. The solution? For now, at least, don't use Quick Resume. And if you've experienced the issue via the 'continue' option, try launching the mission from the campaign menu instead.
