How Iron Fist Will Be ‘Completely Different’ Than Other Marvel TV Characters

The lead role for Iron Fist had only been casted last month and now Marvel's Joe Quesada is revealing more perspective into the tone of the upcoming Netflix series.

While each Marvel series is expected to be unique in its own way, Quesada reveals that Iron Fist will be "completely different" than what we've seen before.

Quesada told Decider recently:

It still takes place in the same world. I think the Danny Rand character himself will have a different perspective on the world than some of the characters that you're seeing now — as will Luke Cage. I mean you guys haven't seen that show yet, either.

Quesada was also confident saying that fans will not be disappointed:

Our goal is to provide four different shows that each have their own feel while, again, feeling like they are a part of a whole. Not an easy task, but I can tell you that our team is really fantastic at doing this.
It's still the early stages of Iron Fist so I'm a little hesitant to say too much more than that. But Danny Rand is a completely different character and the world that he comes from, how he obtained his powers and his skills — all completely different. I think fans will be pleased.

When Netflix aired Daredevil and Jessica Jones, both Marvel shows received much critical and fan acclaim. Both heroes are different in their own ways, but they have similar dark and violent themes going for them.

There's the possibility that Iron Fist will perhaps have a lighter approach in storyline and cinematography than the aforementioned series.

Personally, I'm curious to see how audiences will react to a different breed of Marvel series, especially since casting of Game of Thrones star Finn Jones wasn't exempt from diversity backlash.
