Honest Trailers: Beauty And The Beast 2017 Brings Us To The Most British Part Of France

We’ve been getting a handful of new trailers from E3 today, but we weren’t expecting to get an honest trailer for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast reboot from Screenjunkies.

Though some fans have been complaining that this remake adds very little to the original, the movie was insanely successful and made over a billion dollars in the box office. The movie also caused quite the stir when they announced that there was the first genuinely “gay” moment in a Disney movie, but the scene was ultimately a let-down for people who wanted a moment with more “oomph” to it.

Though I do love Emma Watson, it was a weird choice to have her play Belle in the movie, as she is more British than French. It’s probably her casting that made everyone else in the movie so British. I guess there’s a short supply of young French Hollywood actresses. Hey, at least she pronounced “papa” right.

I have no qualms with this movie, but I could say that I still prefer the original over this one. Besides the tighter storytelling, I just think the vocals were more impressively delivered in the animated movie. It also doesn’t help that someone spotted an auto-tuned moment during one of Watson’s songs.

Beauty and the Beast is currently available in Blu-Ray and DVD.
