Honest Trailer for 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Shows What a Retread it is

A new Honest Trailer is out and this time Screen Junkies is taking on X-Men: Apocalypse. They take no prisoners and deliver a scathing critique of the movie. You can see the trailer below:

This Honest Trailer doesn't go easy on Bryan Singer's latest X-Men movie as they say succintly, "it's bad again." They note how Singertries to tie the mangled X-Men movie timeline together in this "sequel to the sequel of the reboot prequel" but there are lots of continuity errors regardless. Like how Professor X and co. will age 30 years in the next 10 years.

They also note the retreaded plotlines in the movie, like the Wolverine origin, the Quicksilver scene and the Phoenix Saga bit. Not least, there's Professor X and Magneto's endlessly volatile frenemy relationship where Magneto constantly shifts allegiances.

I thought X-Men: Apocolypse was tolerable, but it definitely wasn't anything great or inspired. So I found the criticism in this trailer was mostly fair, especially about how thin the plotline was. Do you agree with the criticism? Or do you think Screen Junkies is being too harsh?
