Hodor Speculated To Return To Game Of Thrones

Last week HBO released a new trailer featuring some of the characters from its most prominent series and shows. The network presented a number of characters from its massively popular fantasy epic, Game of Thrones, and in the trailer fans got to see the new looks the returning cast would wear in this year's season.

While new costume designs aren't that surprising, the Daily Star reasons that the trailer did feature a character who was believed to have died during the six season of the series: Hodor (Kristian Nairn), the crippled servant of Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright).

Remember the episode "The Door" where the gentle giant gives up his life holding the door to help Meera (Ellie Kendrick) and Bran escape from the attack of the white walkers and the Night King?

Though the series has resurrected a character before, it's very unlikely that Bran will be able to find a way to bring Hodor back to life, especially after being assumedly turned into a meal for the white-walkers. However, it is quite possible that fans may catch a glimpse of Hodor as part of the army of undead in the upcoming season – HBO must have released that dressing the giant up as a white walker in the teaser would have been a dead give-away for fans.

Or it could be a bluff. We'll have to wait and see whether Hodor will return when Game of Thrones rolls out its seventh season on July 16 at 9pm ET on HBO.
