Hideo Kojima & Other Superstar Developers Featured in A Dragon Ball Z Video

YouTuber Mega64 recently released an exciting new video in which the comedy group re-enact the entire, epic Majin Buu story arc from Dragon Ball Z, in just five minutes. To make this happen, they needed some help from familiar faces in the world of entertainment and gaming.

This is not the first time Mega64 has made a quick remake of a Dragon Ball Z story arc. Back in 2015, they released a live-action Dragon Ball movie trailer, and in 2018, they released a 5-minute take on the Cell Saga, but their latest shonen parody doesn't just feature the regular cast, but they also got the help making Goku's spirit bomb "many of our friends and inspirations from 20 years of MEGA64"

As you can see in video below, Goku was able to form a massive Spirit Bomb to defeat Majin Buu, thanks to the help of friends that include:

  • Hideo Kojima
  • Gabe Newell
  • Ethan Klein
  • Scott The Woz
  • Hironobu Sakaguchi
  • Hideki Kamiya
  • Swery
  • Cliff Bleszinski

And there are also cameos from some Rooster Teeth folks, the McElroys, and comedian Nathan Barnatt.

Hideo Kojima can be seen at the 10:08 mark of the video, and as you can see, the Metal Gear Solid creator looks happy to send his energy for Goku to build-up the super powerful Spirit Bomb.

The whole video is worth watching if you're a big fan of Dragon Ball Z. The Majin Buu arc was definitely one of the most memorable storylines in Akira Toriyama's popular shonen franchise, and even though this YouTube video doesn't have any fancy special effects to accurately adapt the intense fight against Majin Buu, it does a fantastic job at giving the story a funny twist.
