Justice League might not have been the success that Warner Brothers was hoping for, however, the studio is still working hard at developing the DC Extended Universe.
One of the highly anticipated films in the studio's burgeoning superhero franchise is, of course, The Flashpoint movie, Ezra Miller's standalone film. Not only is the film a pivotal to Barry Allen's story, but it's also extremely important to the franchise. In the comics, Barry travels back in time to save his mother's life, however, his actions somehow change the timeline of the existing DCEU mythos, turning Thomas Wayne (Bruce Wayne's father) into Batman after the death of his son.
Jeffery Dean Morgan, who plays Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman, has been teasing his role as Batman for quite some time, and now artist BossLogic has decided to deliver an art piece featuring Morgan as the Dark Knight.
Check it out down here:
Thomas Wayne's version of Batman is far more violent than his son's, so this explains the red coloring in BossLogic's rendition of the Dark Knight. If the rumors are true that Ben Affleck is intent on moving out of the DCEU, then the Flashpoint movie might be the perfect way to ease the actor out of the franchise and replace him with Morgan.
We'll just have to wait and see.
