There was a lot of talk going around when Marvel dropped its first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. Out of all the new surprises teased in Infinity War's preview, the most discussed element of the trailer ended up being Steve Roger's (Chris Evans) new beard, raking in 20,474 mentions during the first 24 hours of the video's release.

Speaking in an interview with Thirst Aid Kit, Evans was asked about what he felt about fans talking about Captain America's new whiskers. Not only does the Marvel star enjoy wearing a beard

"Well, that's good. That's good, because I like it too. I mean, I usually live my life with a beard. I'm not a huge fan of shaving, and it just provides a little bit of anonymity at times. I was really excited that the Russos and Marvel were willing to kinda give that look a shot. I think it's cool! I think it kind of changes things up. We've seen Cap the same way so many times. He's such a throwback, he's such a classic. It kind of gives him a little bit of a modern vibe.

It actually grows pretty quick, luckily. I think I can get a pretty full beard in maybe a month, maybe three to four weeks."

It's good that Evans likes having his beard on. Seeing how Marvel had back-to-back productions for Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel, Avengers 4, it would have been terribly annoying for the Marvel star if he wasn't that fond of the beard.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters May 4, 2018. Avengers 4 premieres on May 3, 2019.
