Here's the Official Runtime for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

The official runtime of Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been revealed.

The revelation comes from AMC Theaters as reporting that the superhero smack down will run a good and heavy two hours and thirty-one minutes. The runtime doesn't veer far from the trend in super-sized budget films nowadays, which extend the usual two hours of runtime.

By retrospect, the Dawn of Justice runtime is eight minutes longer than Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel and nine minutes longer than Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, it still doesn't compare to Christopher Nolan's runtime for The Dark Knight Rises, which ran a total of 164 minutes.

If you're wondering what difference it makes knowing the runtime of the film, generally, there isn't much. Personally, I think it would benefit the film to have an even longer screen time since it is the launch pad for the DC Extended Universe. The film will be introducing a horde of Justice League characters in the film, such as Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is slated for release on March 25. Meanwhile, Justice League Part One has been scheduled for a November 17, 2017 release, with filming set to begin in April.
