Here's How Kylo Ren Will Become More Like Darth Vader in Star Wars: Episode VIII

Kylo Ren is rumored to get a new wardrobe in Star Wars: Episode VIII, and it looks like his costume will reflect his obsession with his grandfather, Darth Vader.

As we've seen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the villain played by Adam Driver is obsessed with Vader as he was reverently staring at the Sith Lord's helmet. New details have emerged about Kylo Ren's new costume in the sequel, and even though they haven't been officially confirmed, here's a friendly SPOILER ALERT!

The information below comes from Making Star Wars, who recently shared details about Luke Skywalker's new look. The report says that Kylo Ren will be wearing the same mask and helmet, but his robes will be different:

"The best way to describe Kylo Ren's under-robe is that it is sort of like the black costume Luke wore in Return of the Jedi. However, the notable thing about the costume is the cape itself."

Inside sources are saying that Kylo Ren is actually wearing the same cape that Darth Vader wore in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The site explains:

"The cape does not have the same chain clasp. It is not entirely clear if this cape is one Kylo made to resemble that of his grandfather's or if he actually procured one of Darth Vader's capes that probably fell into the hands of collectors in the Star Wars galaxy."

If this is true, Luke must have removed Vader's cape in Return of the Jedi before setting him on fire. The source went on to explain that some of the more recent canonical publications focus on things such as Vader's lightsaber being sold in the black market, and that there are senators who collect artifacts from the Imperial era.

Star Wars: Episode VIII will be released in theaters on December 15, 2017.
