Here’s Avengers: Infinity War’s Official Rating

Avengers: Infinity War's drawing closer and closer to its premiere and now it looks like the MPAA's decided to give Marvel's superhero crossover film it's official rating.

According to Comic Book, the first installment in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie has just ben given a PG-13 tag for "intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action throughout, language and some crude references."

The rating doesn't come as a surprise. Almost all of the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been given the same family-friendly rating, allowing teens and their parents to view the highly anticipated superhero installment.

Though there's been a wave of R-rated comic book movies like Deadpool and Logan, it looks like Marvel's stuck to its family-fun rating, fitting in with the standards of Disney. The rating makes the film more accessible, helping the film succeed at the domestic and global box office.

Here's the synopsis for Infinity War:

Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet -- the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.

Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas on April 27.
