The cast of Star Trek Beyond and Omaze are teaming up for a charity contest. In their first video, we got a first look at newcomer Idris Elba, who will be playing an unspecified role in Justin Lin's sequel to J.J. Abrams' 2013 Star Trek Into Darkness.
Now, Simon Pegg (Scotty) and Anton Yelchin (Chekov) are back in this new video (along with Yelchin's dog) on board the Enterprise to share the details about the fundraising campaign. The video also gives us a glimpse at the props used for the film, including a never-before-seen alien mask (shown above). For a second, I thought it was the Sorting Hat from the Harry Potter movies. Star Trek Beyond is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 8, 2016.
