Henry Cavill Hypes Netflix' Arcane: ‘I Gotta Keep On Watching’

Henry Cavill remains to be an advocate of video games he geeks about, so much so that it became one of the reasons why he walked out on his The Witcher role, letting Liam Hemsworth in as a replacement. While the Man of Steel actor continues to prepare for his DC comeback, he shares his review for the award-winning Netflix series, Arcane, a series adaptation from Riot Games’ League of Legends.

Speaking with BBC Radio 1 film critic Ali Plumb for his return as Sherlock Holmes in Enola Holmes 2, Cavill also manages to bring up how Plumb was able to encourage him to watch the Netflix series. Check out Cavill’s full story below:

“Yes, I really did [enjoy Arcane]! I’m so glad you told me, because when you said it, I went home immediately, and I was like, ‘Right, Natalie, I was told by this guy at work that I should watch Arcane.’ And she was like, ‘Oh, I’ve heard some pretty good things about it.’”

The actor continues to tell how he stayed up all night watching it, even convincing his wife Natalie to come join him in finishing the series, which of course, she obliged to, as she seemed to have enjoyed watching it, too!

“I couldn’t stop watching it, and it got really late, and Natalie was like, ‘Right, we should probably go to bed,’ and I was like, ‘No, no, no, no, no, nope, gotta keep on watching.’ And she went, ‘Yeah, okay, I’m with you, we should definitely keep on watching.’ It’s amazing, and I’m very thankful that you introduced me to that, because I may have missed it otherwise.’”

To celebrate Arcane’s one-year anniversary, the show’s official Twitter page posts #ArcaneAnniversary content releases for fans to expect, while waiting for further announcements on Arcane season 2. Check out their tweet below for more information:

Arcane broke the curse of video game adaptations, not only with winning four Emmy awards, one of them being Outstanding Animated Program, which was the first time a Netflix project received an Emmy for animation, but it also depicts a different standard in animation style and storytelling, similar to the likes of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and The Mitchells vs. The Machines.

Arcane is available to stream on Netflix.
