Neil Marshall's Hellboy reboot has always been expected to premiere sometime in 2019, but it seems like Lionsgate's upcoming supernatural superhero movie has finally received a full official release date.

The Hollywood Reporter broke out the news today, announcing that Hellboy would be hitting cinemas on January 11, 2019.

Empire magazine made the same announcement with the same date a few months ago, however, Lionsgate Studios had denied the report saying that Hellboy had no official release date at the time. Now it's pretty clear that Empire had simply made the announcement a bit too early and that the studio simply wanted to keep its plans a secret until it could be certain of the scheduled release of the film.

Excitement's building up over the movie. Though some fans are still aching over the fact that Lionsgate decided to ditch original Hellboy actor Ron Perlman and director Guillermo del Toro, the community has started warming up to David Harbour's version of the unwilling Harbinger of the Apocalypse after seeing the Stranger Things star's first look photo as the character earlier this year.

Here's a description of the Hellboy reboot:

"The film is about Hellboy going to England, where he must defeat Nimue, Merlin's consort, and the Blood Queen. But their battle will bring about the end of the world, a fate he desperately tries to turn away."
