Hearthstone: Hearth And Home Animated Short Shows Off Great Music And Charm

Blizzard continues to impress fans with animated shorts that expand on the lore of the company’s video games. Most fans are already familiar with the great Overwatch shorts, including the most recent one that focused on Junkertown. Now, the company has released a nice little musical to hype up their addictive strategy card game Hearthstone.

The short that was released is called Hearth and Home, which features a young girl who stumbles upon Harth Stonebrew’s tavern. In this almost Disney-esque place, everyone gets along and knows how to sing, which is both charming and amusing. Like previous shorts before it, the animation is wonderful and will make fans petition for the company to make animated movies.

While the animation and story are filled with charm, it doesn’t really do much to hype up the gameplay of Hearthstone. It is a multiplayer-based card game with little story, so the short was likely done to expand the lore and nothing else. This is similar to the Overwatch shorts, which add characterization and depth to a game that has players shoot each other all the time.

Expect more Hearthstone shorts to come out, as Blizzard prepares to make new events and cards for the mobile game. Fans interested in the lore can download the card game for free on iOS and Android devices, as well as PC and Mac.
